Quality Ingredients
KW agri blends utilise a wide range of feed ingredients, predominantly those which are welcomed as ‘industry standards’ within the dairy, beef and sheep sectors.
Specific blend sites try to use locally-produced feeds wherever possible, combined with other materials sourced from the most reputable Feed Material Assured Suppliers (FEMAS), or equivalent, to ensure adherence with the UFAS controls under which all our sites operate.
Locally-produced cereals, grown on accredited farms, make up a large proportion of the energy element of animal feeds. This is also supplemented by other energy ingredients such as confectionery blends, maize meals, soya hulls and sugar beet feed.
Hipro soya bean meal makes up a large part of the protein content, along with rapeseed meal and distillers grains.
Finally, our ranges are complemented by mineral and vitamin supplements, coupled with micro-ingredients such as protected fats and proteins, urea, yeasts and molasses, to bind the mix and enhance palatability.
